Compare Manual Jack Plate to Hydraulic Jack Plate

Comparing the difference between manual and hydraulic jack plate is essential when choosing what’s best for your boat. That’s why CMC developed these two jack plates to provide you with the best quality and affordable to your budget. The only difference is that a CMC Manual Jack Plate has the same design and construction features as the transom hydraulic jack plate without the convenience of automated adjustment. If you want a boat motor performance enrichment, but don't have the enough budget for hydraulic transom jack plate unit then the ML-65 Manual Jack Plate is probably the exact jack plate you are looking for. These manual jack plates for boat motor provide the same benefits to the hydraulic jack plate units. However, since you cannot lift or lower the motor as you are moving you will not get the same performance enhancement associated with a CMC hydraulic jack plate unit.

About Manual Jack Plate...

Do you know what is a manual jack plate?

A manual jack plate will set the motor back away from the transom 5 1/2 inch which will get your prop away from the boat in what is called "cleaner water". There is less water turbulence 5.5" farther aft than at your boat transom and the water goes under your transom, then sweeps up toward your prop. This will allow you to raise your motor on the average of 3" higher than you can at your transom and still have water pressure and a good "bite" with your prop. Also, the 5.5" set-back provides leverage to get the bow of you boat up with less trim allowing you to lift your motor higher. Less boat in the water and less engine lower unit in the water equates to more top end speed, better fuel economy and more prop clearance in shallow water.

If you do not want to spend the bucks for the hydraulic unit, you can get a manual jack plate for about 30% of the cost of the hydraulic unit.   While it will not adjust engine height while on the water, it will allow you to fine tune to the most desirable engine height for your particular needs.

One of the most popular manual jack plates that all boaters use is this #65012 made by CMC Inc. We receive several orders of this. Hello Everyone!

First, thank you for giving us some time to visit our blog and even our website http://www.magemarinestore.com/. As part of our business concern, we would like to help our visitors to know about our company and provide a precise information on what is the importance of jack plate, tilt trim, wakeboard tower and other marine electrical parts for the boat.
Let me start by introducing what a jack plate can do for your boat. Do you know what is a jack plate?

The transom jack or "jack plate" for outboard motor can serve many purposes for your boat. It can help to improve fuel economy, increase your boat's maximum speed on the water, increase your propeller clearance, and help you get up on plane faster. Jack plates are easy to install and can be done in a few hours with basic tools and the help of a friend. There are 2 different kinds of jack plates: hydraulically operated and manually operated. The names should speak for themselves. Hydraulic jack plates are useful when it is necessary to get a boat on or off plane in shallow waters.
