Coil Kit for OMC/Johnson Evinrude

Coil kit sensor is one of the parts you can find in OMC/Johnson Evinrude outboard motors. Buying your coil kit is an essential tool to your boat motor. Without it, the motor will not work. Before taking an action you need to find the correct motor application and understand simple troubleshooting.

If you will buy a new coil kit for OMC/Johnson Evinrude timer base,  like part number 133-0875K 1. This kit must contain one replacement sensor, one sensor gap tool and two mounting screws. You need to replace this OMC Johnson Evinrude coil kit with part numbers 133-0875K 1, 580875, 581508, 581585, 763804 385454. This suits 1971-1978 2 Cylinder OMC boat motor timer base.

If some trouble occurs after finding out and installed the correct coil kit. Try checking the resistance between the two sensors wire, you should read between 16 and 19 ohms. The DVA output should be read over 1 volt between the two wires while the wires are connected to the power pack. While the wires are connected to the power pack check your DVA readings from each sensor wire to engine ground. The sensor readings should be close to what is read on the stator.

The up down toggle switch a type of electrical switch that is characterized by the presence of some type of handle or lever that makes it possible to control the flow of electrical power from a power supply to a device of some type. This will make the Power-Lift or jack plate operational. 

 A position indicator gauge (also available with sending unit and sending unit bracket) that is used to determine the height of the motor without looking back, allowing the driver to maintain a forward view at all times.

Nylon thrust guides to eliminate any side movement shimmy of the Power-Lift and these can be adjusted.

The top actuator spring and bottom actuator spring that can also be used for either PT-130 or PT-35 Tilt Trim Unit. To eliminate any simple problems that might arise to your jack plate use the circuit breaker.  

Be sure to use at least four ½” diameters of stainless steel bolts and nuts, Four ½” – 13 stainless steel hex nut for mounting PT-130 tilt trim, PT-35 trim & Power-lift or Jack Plate. Use the stainless steel flat and stainless steel lock washer before the nut. Make sure all nuts and bolts are tight. These should be rechecked frequently for correct tightness.
